ICG on Movies: Comic Con: Episode IV - A Fan's Hope

by: Steve (@MisterJackal)Morgan Spurlock, the guy behind Super Size Me and Greatest Movie Ever Sold, went on a journey into geek heaven. He went to San Diego Comic Con 2010 and brings a great look into the biggest even in geek and pop culture. He follows six geeks all going through their own little adventure, two artist looking to break into the comic medium, a vendor in hopes of selling a super rare comic, an amazing costume designer looking to sport her designs during the Masquerade Ball, and a young geek couple that met at the previous years con. Along with these stories, there were interviews with a few fan favorites with tons of geek credibility including, Kevin Smith, Joss Whedon, Robert Kirkman, Seth Green, Stan Lee and a few others.A Fan's Hope is a great documentary! It shows all the passion, emotion and enthusiasm we have for all things geeky. Personally, I have never been to San Diego Comic Con, but I truly felt as if I was there, experiencing every moment with the characters. This is an awesome documentary to show people who ask "What's Comic Con?" or "Why would you go to something like that?" or even "Why do these people get all dressed up? It's not even Halloween." I saw this with my dad because he has been asking these same questions since the first time that I went to New York Comic Con, and after watching it he told me he  finally gets it and wants to go at least one day.I highly suggest true believers, anyone that wants to see what comic con is all about or even the ones that think the whole event is dumb, take sometime out and check this out. You will not be disappointed. I rate Comic Con: Episode IV - A Fan's Hope a 5 out of 5.UPDATE: I forgot to mention, this can be viewed not only in theaters but Video On Demand and iTunes as well.[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZN41gXXUlLI]
