#GeekApproved Presents - One More Light Extinguished Too Fast

20108632_10155459201961788_3382217805980587612_n.jpg1 week ago I got the news via text that the world lost Chester Bennington. 1 week ago today we lost someone that got us through those dark times, someone whose voice guided you to the place you needed to be when you were down and all you wanted to do was belt aloud to songs like "Numb" "In The End" or "Final Masquerade".  It took a week to find the right words to say as I am finally letting it in that he's gone. It took a week to understand that he could no longer control the demons inside and that the only way out was to leave us. I remember listening to their first album and being amazed on what this band had to offer. I have been listening to them since the start so needless to say that I was a skeptic of Linkin Park as Meteora was their trophy album and I was unsure how I would feel if their next album couldn't top that. Regardless of how I felt of their albums, I always found that 1 song that hit home. Linkin Park was a band that continued to show us that they were ready to rock your world despite what you thought of them and despite what direction they chose to take. To all those Linkin Park fans out there reading this... Don't look at this as a goodbye, Don't let this tragedy get you down. If you are feeling down, continue to belt aloud! Chester Bennington may have left this world, however he left you the world. Lift your heads up and continue to sing aloud and keep his legacy flowing! I know I will.Who cares if one more light goes out?In a sky of a million starsIt flickers, flickersWho cares when someone's time runs out?If a moment is all we areWe're quicker, quickerWho cares if one more light goes out?Well your fans do! RIP Chester Bennington and thank you for getting me through those tough times.~Brian~
