Something For Your Earholes: Pitbull – Global Warming

by: Charley (@ruperto2106)"Mr. Worldwide" Pitbull is back with Global Warming, his 7th studio album, and he’s back doing what he does best. Giving us great rap/hip-hop anthems to dance to.I must admit, when popping my CD in and hitting play, I was immediately hit with a sample from the Macarena. What are you doing to me, and what are you trying to say about the music industry when you have to sample one of the worst songs in history? Three singles have already been released for this album. “Back In Time” which was featured on the Men in Black 3 soundtrack, “Get It Started” which features Shakira, and “Don’t Stop The Party”. One minor gripe on the second single. If it’s a single meant to be featured on the CD, why is it only available if I shell out an extra 5 bucks for a deluxe version? This is a poorly played mistake by some moron at RCA records.Besides all the singles already released on the album, the best song on the album would be “Feel This Moment” featuring Christina Aguilera. Christina’s vocals sell and push this track over the top.The album has a long list of collaborations as Pitbull, works on tracks with Chris Brown, Usher, Enrique Iglesias,The Wanted and Jennifer Lopez. There’s a track on the album with an unknown artist named Danny Mercer. His voice alone is the reason you should listen to “Outta Nowhere”. I look forward to hearing more of his stuff. With great party songs, and great uplifting beats. The sampling of the Macarena and the horrible song with Jennifer Lopez is the only reason I didn’t give this song 5 stars. I give this album a 4/5.Video for “Don’t Stop The Party” is below.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnz8WwKaZvg
